Description
The Old Rectory is a house that was originally a rectory, predominantly dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with coped verges, and features rendered and ashlar stacks with moulded caps. The roof is covered with triple-Roman tiles. The building has two storeys and is arranged in a 3:1 bay configuration. It includes sash windows with glazing bars set in freestone surrounds, with the right bay projecting slightly beneath a front-facing gable. On the ground floor, there are two single-storeyed canted bay windows with cornices. The entrance is located in the centre of the left three bays and features a six-panelled door within a stone doorcase that has pilasters and a triangular pediment, along with a narrow sidelight to the left.
