3/12 Whittle monument in churchyard, - about 9 m south-east of porch, Church of the Holy Cross GV II Chest tomb. Late C18 or early C19. Doulting and Keinton stone. Moulded plinth on slat base: slab ends and flanks with fluted corner pilasters and central pilasters to flanks; plain frieze and moulded coving to thin, almost flat top, Commemorates members of the Whittle family including George, died 1815, and Thomas Walter, died 1834.
