Description

The monument to George Whiting, located in the churchyard to the south of All Saints' Church, is a chest tomb dating from 1709. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features sunken square panels. The end panel is inscribed and has an arcade with enriched pilasters. There is a plain frieze that includes a memento mori, along with a moulded plinth and cornice. This tomb is part of a significant group of family chest tombs that showcase Renaissance details.
