Description

The monument to Elizabeth Phelps, located in the churchyard to the south of All Saints' Church, is a chest tomb dating from 1698. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features sunken square inscribed panels, enriched pilasters, and an enriched frieze that includes memento mori elements. The tomb also has a moulded plinth and cornice. This monument is part of a significant group of family chest tombs that showcase Renaissance details.
