Description

Jasmin Cottage and No 21 are a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed from local lias stone, which is cut and squared, and feature a clay pantile roof with stone slate base courses between coped gables, along with a central stone chimney stack. Each cottage has two storeys and two bays. The windows are casement style, with small panes in Jasmin Cottage. The doors are boarded with glazed panels situated between the bays, and there are open timber porches with hipped stone slated roofs. Both cottages have lean-to extensions against their end gables that match the main structure. The interiors have not been seen. This pair of cottages contributes to a notable early 19th-century group alongside Kingweston Post Office and Nos 22 to 24 Lower Street.
