Description

Jasmine Cottage, also known as The Little Laurels, is a pair of semi-detached cottages dating from the mid-19th century. They are situated on the south side of Main Street in Bourton-on-the-Hill, occupying a prominent position adjacent to the church.

The cottages are constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with a slate roof, limestone gable coping, and brick and 20th-century ashlar stacks. The rectangular plan is visible in the facade, which has three windows on each side. The upper windows are four-pane sashes, while the lower-left window is a nine-pane sash. Other ground-floor windows are four-light sashes. A decorative band runs above and below the first-floor windows, stepping up on the right-hand side. The front features two four-panelled doors, one offset to the right and one to the left. Gable end and axial stacks are present. The interior has not been inspected. The cottages are included on the list for their group value.
