Description

Corner Cottage is an end house in a row, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring an ashlar facade. The roof is made of concrete tiles with limestone gable coping and ashlar stacks, while the porch has a limestone slate roof. The building has a square plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. The single gabled front has two windows, which are two-light stone-mullioned casements with leaded lights. There is a six-panel door located at the lower right, topped with a hood that has a gabled canopy supported on a bracket. The main body of the cottage has flat gable coping, and there is a twin-flue stack emerging from the gable end at the front.
