Description

Jasmine Cottage and Sunset Cottage are two former small cottages located on Silver Street in South Cerney, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. The buildings are constructed from random coursed rubble stone and feature a stone slate roof. The right end has renewed brick stacks, while the left end has a stone stack that has been raised in brick.

The cottages form a single long range and are single storey with an attic. Sunset Cottage has two hipped dormers, while Jasmine Cottage has three hipped dormers, all with paired casements. The right-hand side of Jasmine Cottage is lower than the rest of the roof line. The ground floor includes four 3-light wooden casements with timber lintels, with only one in Sunset Cottage. There are plank doors with timber lintels between the two cottages. In front of Jasmine Cottage, there is a well to the left, which has a hood supported on struts.
