Description

The gatepiers at Atkyns Manor, dating from the 18th century, are a notable pair located in front of the manor. They are tall, square structures made of ashlar stone, standing on an offset plinth. Each pier features a large moulded cornice and a stepped cap topped with large ball finials set on a chamfered base. A single wrought-iron gate is included, which has side pieces and a decorative top that displays the initials ET or EJ.
