Description
Silver Street House is an early 19th-century detached house located on Silver Street in South Cerney. The house is constructed of coursed and dressed stone with a stone slate roof and stone end stacks, positioned externally to the left. It has a āUā shape and two storeys, with three windows visible from the front. The left-hand side features a gabled dormer window set through the eaves, having a tile-hung gable and a cambered head to its three-light casement. Similar cambered-headed windows are present in the centre and right, with a further cambered-headed window at ground-floor level on the right. A large, double-height window is situated on the left-hand side, matching the style of the others. A central, projecting square stone porch has plain coping, a blocking course, and three ball finials, along with pilasters flanking a weathered four-centred arch. The porch contains a half-glazed inner door. The rear range has been significantly modernised.
