Description
The Eliot Arms is an inn and hotel built in the mid to late 19th century. It features random coursed rubble stone with flush quoins and dressings, a sprocketed stone slate roof, and stone end stacks with offset and moulded cornices. The building has an 'L' shape, with a 20th-century extension at the rear and in the rear angle. It stands two stories tall with an attic. The façade includes three windows, which are paired long casements set in flush quoin and lintel surrounds. There are two gables and a central gabled dormer, each containing a long single casement window. On the ground floor, there is a three-light gabled porch with a 4-centred archway and a vertical battened door. The building is included for its group value.
