Description

The Village Hall, originally a barn, is located on School Lane in South Cerney and dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It was converted into a village hall in the early to mid-20th century. The building is constructed of rubble stone with some quoins and features a thatched roof with a decorative ridge.

On the south side, there is an original half-hipped projected cart entry, which now has set back 20th-century doors, a boarded gable, and alternating flush quoins. There are two windows on each side, featuring 2-light leaded stone mullions and transoms set in flush stone surrounds. The east end has a similar 3-light window, with three dovecote perches positioned above in the apex of the gable end. A 20th-century extension at the rear is not considered to be of special interest.
