Description

The Merriott War Memorial, dating from around 1919, is constructed from Ham stone and features bronze plaques. It takes the form of a chamfered Latin cross mounted on a rectangular plinth, which is supported by a three-stepped stone base. Each of the four sides of the plinth displays a bronze plaque with white incised lettering, set within a recessed panel, listing the names of those who lost their lives in the two world wars.
