Description

Horsington War Memorial is a stone war memorial cross dating from the 1920s. It features a freestanding Latin cross with a tapering chamfered shaft, a square plinth, and a two-stepped octagonal base. The front face of the plinth is inscribed with the words: "IN PROUD AND LOVING MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 -1918" followed by names. The step below is inscribed with "1939 – 1945" along with names.
