Description

This is a house, likely dating to the 17th century and modified subsequently. It is located in South Cheriton, Horsington. Originally listed as No. 43B, it was previously recorded as a house situated 25 yards northwest of the Methodist Chapel. The building is constructed from local stone rubble with a plain clay tile roof, set over stone slate base courses. It features simple gables and brick chimney stacks. The house has a 'T'-plan layout. The front elevation has two storeys and an irregular arrangement of four bays. It has 20th-century steel windows with concrete lintels, and a 20th-century door in a plain opening to the third bay. The rear elevation includes several two- and three-light windows with chamfered mullions. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
