Description

Lower Cheriton Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse, though it may incorporate older fabric. The farmhouse is constructed of local stone rubble, with a coursed finish; the front elevation is rendered. It has a plain clay tile roof with simple gables and brick chimney stacks at the ends and between the bays. The building is two storeys high and three bays wide. It features 16-pane sash windows in plain openings; there is no window in the lower bay three. A 6-panel door is set within a 20th-century glazed, rendered and tiled porch located between bays one and two. A 19th-century extension projects from the rear, and the interior remains unseen.
