Description
North Cheriton Manor is a house from the 19th century that has been modified in the 20th century. It is built from local stone that has been cut and squared, with Cary stone ashlar dressings. The roof is hipped and covered with Welsh slate, featuring a large eaves overhang and brick chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and has three bays.
On the east elevation, there are 12-pane sash windows with margins, set in plain ashlar surrounds that include keystones. The lower centre bay features a smaller window that is set within a former door surround, which has Doric pilasters and a plain entablature. The entrance to the house has been relocated to the north side in an early 20th-century addition. The manor occupies an important position in relation to the nearby Church of St. John the Baptist. The interior has not been seen.
