Description

The Village Pump is a water pump from the early 19th century, made of cast iron. It features a pillar that is approximately 300 millimeters square and 1.2 meters high, with panelled faces and an ornate stepped and spiked top. The spout is located on the north face, and there is a curved handle on the west side. This pump was made by J. Portnell of Wincanton and is considered an important survival from its time.
