Description

The building consists of a barn and other outbuildings located about 60 metres southeast of Wigborough Manor House. These structures date from the 18th century, with part of the complex dated 1765. They are constructed from Ham stone, mostly cut and squared, with ashlar dressings, and feature Welsh slate roofs with coped gables. The south gable has a ball finial, while the west gable of the central block displays a lion finial above a datestone inscribed 'H/RJ/1765', which refers to Robert Hilliard, who purchased the manor in 1762.

The layout is in a 'Z' plan. The south range includes stables with a loft above most of it, and there is a throughway at the southern end. The central east-west crosswing contains a granary at the west end, which has a loft doorway in the west gable accessed by a stone staircase. Above this doorway is a small 2-light mullioned window with a hoodmould. The north side of this block features a collar truss roof, with a segmental-arched opening in the north wall, a central doorway, a blocked doorway, and a 2-light beaded mullioned window with an architrave, vertical iron bars, and shutters, followed by a plain chamfered doorway.

The north range matches the south range and has a weathervane on the north gable, although the loft has been removed. The east wall contains three 2-light casement windows with shutters and a slit vent. Additionally, in the angle between the north and east wings, there is a horse engine house or wring house.
