Description
No. 25 High Street is a house with a shop, likely built in the early 19th century. It features colourwashed ashlar stone and has a concrete double Roman tiled roof that is coped on the east gable, along with brick chimney stacks at either end. The building has three storeys and two bays. The doorway is located between the bays and contains a late 20th-century door with a fanlight, set in a semi-circular headed sub-archway beneath a broken pediment supported by console brackets. On either side of the doorway are two-light early 20th-century angled bay display windows, and above them are sash bay windows at different angles. The second floor has smaller sash bays that are angled under lead flat roofs. There is a late 20th-century wrought iron sign bracket over the doorway, and a rectangular blind panel is positioned between the second-floor windows. The interior has not been seen.
