Description
No. 30 High Street is a small town house from the early 18th century, part of a row of similar buildings. It is constructed from local stone rubble with Doulting stone dressings and may have a flat roof that is concealed by parapets. The house has three storeys and one bay, featuring a plinth, large ashlar quoins, and a band course beneath a shallow parapet that has angled upsweeps on either side.
The ground floor has been re-arranged and now includes two single-light casements in plain surrounds to the left of a late 20th-century part-glazed door, which was originally centrally located with smaller sidelights. On the first floor, there is a Venetian window with small-pane casements in a plain surround, and above it are three single-light casements in a linked surround. The interior has been significantly altered at the ground floor level.
