Description
Peters Chest Tomb, located 8 metres south of the tower in the churchyard of the Church of St John the Baptist, is a chest tomb from the 19th century made of Ham stone. It features a moulded base, fielded panels at each end, and large fielded panels on the sides with reeded pilasters. The tomb has a moulded hipped top. It commemorates members of the Peters family, including Elizabeth, who died in 1823, and John, who died in 1831, as well as members of the Gale family.
