Description
The Daniell Chest Tomb, located 10 metres south of the chancel at the Church of Saint Mary, is a chest tomb from the late 17th century. It is made of Ham stone and has a rectangular plan. The tomb features a moulded base, parallel ends, and simple recessed panels with fluted pilasters on the sides. The top is heavily moulded and hipped. This tomb commemorates John Daniell, who died in 1683, and his wife Mary, who died in 1701.
