Description

The chest tomb, dating from the late 18th century, is located in the churchyard about 10 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St. John. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded edge. The tomb has plain quarter balusters and a moulded plinth. There are inscription panels on the north and south sides, with the north side featuring a double panel adorned with trumpets in the centre, commemorating Hannah Comely from 1795 and other family members.
