Description

Three houses, now forming two separate dwellings, likely dating to the 17th century, with later alterations. The houses are constructed of rubble with sandstone dressings and a slate roof, with some areas rendered. A brick gable stack rises on the east side. They are two storeys high with a five-window front. Most windows are 2- and 3-light casements; two ground-floor windows to the right are in a canted bay. Three plank doors are present, the central one originally with a glass panel, but now closed, all set within moulded frames with flat slate hoods supported on sandstone brackets. The rear elevation features a variety of windows, including one with 21 panes and another with 9 panes and thick glazing bars, with a gable at first-floor level to the central house. This property forms a significant part of a larger group of buildings situated at a crossroads.
