Description
Row Court and Row Farm House is a farmhouse that has been divided into two houses. It dates from the mid to late 17th century and the mid 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The earlier part of Row Farm House is constructed of coursed and squared rubble and features a double Roman tile roof with four gabled dormers. It has a coursed and squared rubble stack with a cap, is two storeys high with an attic, and has four bays with four-light moulded mullioned and transomed windows. There is a weathered string at the first-floor level. The later portion is slightly taller, also two storeys, made of ashlar with a stone eaves cornice and coped verges, and has a double Roman tile roof with end rubble stacks. This section has two bays with sash windows that have glazing bars set in moulded stone architraves. The door opening has a panelled door with a transom light and a stone hood supported by brackets. Row Court, located on the left return of Row Farm House, is a single storey with an attic and features a two-light stone-mullioned window on the front. There is a freestone plaque incised with the year 1757.
