Description

Holly Tree Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with a largely 18th-century facade. It is constructed of random rubble with flush dressed quoins. The roof is covered with double-Roman tiles, featuring a coved stone eaves cornice and rendered end stacks. Two small gabled dormers are present.

The house is symmetrical, with two storeys and an attic. It has three bays, and features three-light moulded stone mullioned windows, except for the central first-floor window, which has a two-light opening with narrow sash windows and glazing bars, or casements that match the style. The central door opening has a bead moulded stone surround and a six-panelled door, covered by a flat wooden hood supported on moulded stone brackets. A single-storey outshut is attached to the left side of the building.
