Description
The lime kiln, dating from the 19th century, is constructed from random rubble and tapers towards the top, set into an earth bank. It stands 3 metres high and measures 4 metres across at its widest point. At the base, there is a 1 metre by 1 metre opening that leads into a bell-shaped chamber, which features a smaller opening at the rear. This kiln is a comparatively rare industrial survival in this part of the country.
