Description

The Old Farm House is an early 19th-century house, originally part of a rank of four. It is constructed of coursed rubble, with flush-dressed quoins to the left side, and has a double-Roman tile roof, with end stacks topped with brick and decorative ridge tiles. The house is two storeys and has attics. It features two bays with paired sash windows, containing glazing bars, set in plain stone surrounds, and plain dividing mullions. There are two gabled semi-dormers to the roof, and casements in brick surrounds. The centre of the house has paired door openings in plain stone surrounds; the left-hand door opening is blocked and now contains a six-light casement window, while a 20th-century half-glazed door is on the right. A slab hood is supported by three cut stone brackets.
