Description
Manor Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was refronted in the 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble with dressed flush quoins and features a steeply pitched slate roof with coped verges and two ashlar stacks with moulded caps. The building has two storeys and an attic, consisting of two bays with 4-pane sash windows set in plain stone surrounds and bracketed sills. To the right, there is a door opening in a similar surround, featuring a 6-panelled door with the top two panels glazed and a transom light above. A 20th-century rubble porch with a hipped slate roof covers the entrance.
To the left, there is a two-storey, one-bay wing that is lower in height and set back, which has moulded 2-light mullioned windows beneath stopped labels and a relieving arch above the ground floor opening. The right return of the building has two and three-light stone-mullioned windows also under stopped labels. Inside, there is an ornamental plaster ceiling dated 1627 and a Jacobean overmantle with carved arcading, both of which were removed from Manor Cottages.
