Description
Lower Row Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed of random rubble with a double Roman tile roof featuring coped verges and end rubble stacks. The building is two stories high with a three-bay frontage. On the first floor, there are three-light moulded stone-mullioned windows with cornice drips, while the ground floor has later 4-pane sash windows set in freestone surrounds. A central ashlar porch, which dates from the 18th or 19th century, is gabled with coping and a ball finial. To the left, there is a two-bay outshut from the early 19th century, covered with a slate roof and coped verge, featuring paired polygonal stacks and large sash windows with glazing bars in freestone surrounds.
