Description
Nos. 58 and 60 on East Street are a pair of attached houses dating from the 17th century. They are constructed of coursed limestone rubble and feature a steep-pitched pantile roof that continues with the adjacent cottages. There is a brick stack on the left side. The houses have a single-depth plan with a 19th-century extension at the rear. They are two storeys high and have a two-window range. Access to the doors is through shared double doors that lead to other cottage entrances. On the first floor, there are mid-19th-century three-light casements located under the eaves, with one above the shared double doors and two to the left. To the left of the double doors, there are two square four-pane windows under wooden lintels, and at the far left is a 20th-century half-glazed door leading to No. 60. The interior has not been inspected.
