Description

Nos. 9 and 10 on Main Road are a pair of houses dating from the 17th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and have plastered panels, featuring ropework decoration. The houses have a plain tiled roof and are two storeys high. There is a three-window range, predominantly consisting of three-light casements, with some mid-20th century small pane casements. To the east, there are two doorways, and to the west, there is one doorway with a simple wooden porch, leading to three boarded doors. The west slope of the roof has a full-height gable, which is a later addition that likely provided extra lighting to a former attic. There is one internal stack.
