Shadyside is a house that likely dates back to the 17th century. It features a timber frame with plaster, originally designed in panels, and has a painted brick gable end on the left side. The roof is covered with black pantiles and the building has two storeys. There are three windows, which are 19th-century casements with two and three lights, featuring large panes. The doorway is asymmetrical and has a six-panel fielded door, with the lower two panels infilled. The house has one internal stack and one external stack on the left side.
