Description

No. 42 East Street is a house dating from the early to mid 19th century. It features incised stucco on the exterior and has a slate roof that continues with the adjacent house to the west. There is a brick stack located on the right party wall. The house has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall, with a symmetrical arrangement of two windows. The entrance consists of a six-panel door that is glazed at the top, flanked by three-light windows. These windows have a narrow central sash with fixed lights on either side, all containing small panes. The interior has not been inspected.
