Description

No. 10 Portland Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It features painted incised stucco beneath a graduated slate roof, with a rendered chimney stack. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in three bays. The entrance consists of a six-panel door, and the windows are sash style set within painted stone architraves. The ground-floor window on the right has been enlarged and includes glazing bars, reflecting a 19th-century alteration for use as a shop window. There are also smaller attic windows that have been blocked.
