Description
7 and 9 Curwen Street are two houses dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They feature incised cement render with an eaves cornice and V-jointed quoins. The roofs are made of greenslate and tile, with a coped gable and kneeler on the left side, and there are cement rendered chimney stacks. The buildings are two storeys high with attics; No. 7 has three bays while No. 9 has two bays. Both houses have six-panel doors, with No. 7 featuring an overlight, and sash windows, all set in painted stone surrounds. To the left, there is a lower extension that includes a low through archway beneath a sash window, also in a painted stone surround. The rear of both properties is an integral part of No. 11, which is why they are listed for group value with that property.
