Description

The Workington Veterans Club, originally a house, dates back to 1798, as indicated by the lead rainwater heads. The building features painted stucco with a string course, eaves cornice, and angle pilasters. It has a graduated greenslate roof with roughcast chimney stacks. The structure is three storeys high and has three bays. The right segmental arch contains double boarded doors topped with a fanlight. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, set within painted stone surrounds.
