Description

Three houses, forming a row, were constructed in the late 18th century. They are built of painted incised stucco with V-jointed quoins, originally topped with a graduated greenslate roof, though the roof on number 15A has been replaced with 20th-century tiles. The chimney stacks are painted roughcast. Each house originally had two bays, except for number 17 which has a single bay. The houses now have 20th-century doors set within painted stone surrounds, and sash windows in painted stone surrounds. A slate sundial, dated 1777, is affixed to the front wall of number 15A. The return wall of number 15A also forms part of the boundary wall of number 4 Cavendish Street. The houses are included in the listing for their group value.
