Description

Two houses, numbers 113 and 115 High Street, were built around 1820. They are constructed of stucco with a slate roof and stepped stone coping to the right gable, featuring rendered gable-end stacks. The houses have a double-depth plan and are arranged over two storeys, with a two-window front. The central entrance has adjacent doors beneath a shallow overlight. Number 113 features eight-pane sashes, while the house to the right, number 115, has fixed casements with top vents installed around 1960.

The interior of the left-hand house, number 113, includes a tongued-and-grooved wall on the left side of the passage, a six-panel door with a three-pane overlight to the front left room, and an early 19th-century fire surround with a grate from around 1860. The back room also has a grate dating back to 1860. A tongued-and-grooved wall lines the cupboard stairs to the rear right, while the remaining walls are lath and plaster.

Attached to the houses by brick walls are iron spearhead railings set upon a low stone plinth, and include working gates. These are considered a subsidiary feature.
