Description
This is a terrace of three dwellings located at 127, 129, and 131 High Street, dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of stucco with a pantile roof, featuring stone copings on the gable ends and brick stacks. The layout is double-depth, and the terrace is two storeys high with a three-window range.
The two left-hand dwellings have a symmetrical two-window arrangement with doors next to a blind window. The left door is a 20th-century Georgian-style door with an integral fanlight, while the right door is an early 19th-century six-panelled door, with the upper four panels glazed. To the left, there are casement windows with glazing bars on both floors. To the right of centre, there is an 8/8-pane sash window on the ground floor, and a small casement window beneath a fixed 3-pane sash.
The far-right dwelling is also two storeys high and has a one-window range with its entrance on the right return. It features late 18th-century sashes with forward frames, having 6/6-panes on the ground floor and 3/6-panes on the first floor. The roof is double-pitched, and there is a slate-hung rear extension. The interior has not been inspected.
