Description

The turnstile at the west end of High Street in Chard is a late 19th-century ornamental wrought-iron structure. It features a rotating circular base and is designed with four pairs of vertical serpentine bars. These bars are attached to scrolls at the ends of iron crosses, with the arms of the top cross inclined downwards and those of the bottom cross inclined upwards.
