Description

No. 21 Portland Square is a house dating from the late 18th century. It features painted incised stucco with an eaves cornice and angle pilasters, topped by a graduated greenslate roof with roughcast chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a recessed bay to the right under a common roof. The entrance consists of a 20th-century door with a patterned fanlight set in panelled reveals. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are framed by painted stone surrounds, while the recessed bay has sash windows without glazing bars. Additionally, the left return wall includes a small round attic window.
