Description

No 1 Frome Road is a shop and house that likely dates from the 17th century but was remodeled in the early 19th century. It features random rubble construction with dressed quoins on the left side and a double-Roman tile roof that is hipped to the right. The building has an L-shaped plan and occupies a prominent corner plot. It is two storeys high with one bay, showcasing paired small flush-mounted sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor. The ground floor has a late 19th-century six-panelled shop front, with panelled pilasters on each side and a fascia board above that has a moulded cornice.
