Description

No 8 King Street is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the early 18th century. It is built of square rubblestone and features a double Roman tiled roof with coped verges and saddlestones, along with a concrete stack. The building is two stories high and has four windows. On the right side, there is a 19th-century shop front with a cornice supported by acanthus brackets. To the left of the center, there is a blocked moulded door case and a three-light cyma-mullioned window, with a string course raised above the door lintel. The first floor has four two-light cyma-mullioned windows. The rear of the building is rendered and includes 20th-century windows.
