Description

No 16 on King Street is a detached house built in the early 19th century. It features ashlar stonework and a stone slate roof with coped verges and a stone stack on the right. The building is two stories high with an attic and has three windows. To the right of the center, there is a six-panelled door with a beaded case and a flat stone hood supported by brackets. On either side of the door are 12-pane sash windows, and there is a round-arched entry to the left. A plat band runs along the first floor, where there is a central blind window flanked by sashes. The roof has a moulded eaves cornice and two hipped dormers with sash windows. At the rear, there is a two-story brick extension added in the 19th century.
