Description
No. 5 Warminster Road is a shop and house that dates from the 17th century, with alterations from the 18th century and mid-19th century. The building is constructed of painted rubble and features a pantile roof with varying ridge heights, a small box dormer with leaded lights, and three brick ridge stacks. The facade is irregular and the structure has two storeys and an attic, comprising four bays.
On the first floor, there are predominantly three-light casements, mostly with leaded lights. The ground floor to the left has a 19th-century four-light shop front set within a single-storey, flat-roofed projecting brick bay, with a door on the left side accessed by two stone steps. In the centre, there are paired 20th-century glazed doors in a shallow recess next to a former door opening, which now contains a single-light casement in a plain block surround. To the right, there is a 20th-century single-light shop window. At the rear, there is a two-light casement in an ovolo moulded surround.
