Description

The property at 4 Church Hill is a house dating to the late 17th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century and further work in the 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble with a double-Roman tile roof and has two brick stacks. The facade is almost symmetrical, featuring a three-bay design. The upper floor has two-light stone mullioned windows; the ground floor has broad six-pane sash windows. A virtually central door opening is framed by a bead-moulded stone surround, with a late 18th-century six-panel door and a slab hood supported by moulded stone brackets. A single-storey outshut is located to the left; its roof is not visible. It contains one bay and has a four-light casement window and a door with a plank door and glazed panel.
