Description
No 151 High Street is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 17th century, with a front block added in the late 18th century. The building is finished in stucco and features boxed eaves beneath a plain tiled roof that slopes down to the left, with a chimney stack positioned on the left side. It has two storeys and a one-window front, with a glazing bar sash window on the first floor. The late 19th-century shop front includes a double entrance with an inset glazed door and a transom light above. At the rear, there is a timber-framed section that has a ground floor built in brick. This rear block shows irregular close-studding with one diagonal brace and plaster infilling. Inside the rear block, substantial timber framing is visible.
