Description
St. Michael's Church Hall is a church hall built in the late 19th century in a Gothic Revival style. It is constructed of flint with red brick quoins, bands, and dressings, and features a red brick cornice beneath a plain tiled roof. The gable end facing the road includes an open timber-framed bell-cote with a plain tiled pyramidal hood located at the south-eastern corner of the tower, which has flat buttresses. The building has three storeys, with a single round-headed window in the red brick upper part of the gable. There are two tall, two-light pointed-arch windows on a cill-band that breaks up into the gable, along with two six-light segment-headed windows on the ground floor. Above ground level, there is a band of stone plaques inscribed with the initials of donors. A large clock with a tiled gabled hood is mounted on decorative cast-iron brackets that project from the tower.
